of Pequot Lakes, MN passed away Friday, August 11, 2006 at home. He was born July 31, 1922 in Manitowac, WI to Elmer & Emma Halvorsen. Bud served as First Lieutenant in the US Navy during WWII. He taught Biology and coached wrestling at Edina High School. Bud is Survived by his wife, Hedy (Harriet Hedlund) Halvorsen; children, Marta (Randy) Simpson, Debra (Michael) Mahoney, Signe (Scott) Horsmann, and Erik (Emily) Halvorsen; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service followed by a luncheon will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Crosslake Lutheran Church, 35960 County Road 66, Crosslake, MN. Services entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake (218-692-5051).
