Szendrey, Laszlo, Age 92 of Edina, died 2-5-09. Preceded in death by two brothers, and sister, Eva Mandics. Survived by loving wife, Hildegard; sons, Tony (Jennifer), Peter (Barbara), Tom (Julie); and grandchildren, Samantha and Alex. Laszlo Szendrey was born in Szeged, Hungary in 1916. Following active duty in WWII, Laszlo settled in St. Paul, MN where he met his wife, Hildegard, with whom he enjoyed 55 years of marriage and 3 sons. Laszlo was a teacher and coach in 3 sports with Edina schools for 30 years. He enjoyed cabin life in northern Minnesota and a love of tennis, fishing, and international travel. Laszlo was a tender-hearted individual who will be missed by all, particularly his family. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Hospice of the Lakes for their loving care. Service at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 5071 Eden Avenue, Edina at 11:00 am Monday, Feb. 9th. Visitation one hour prior.
